The members of the Akatsuki sat, begrudgingly, in a circle on the floor of the living room. They stared at each other with dead expressions, all in sheer disbelief that Pein would make them do such childish things.
"Now, we have missions coming up soon that will be assigned to particular people, meaning there is a possibility of you having to work with someone other than your usual partner. This "game" is to improve communication and allow you all to get to know each other so that you will work flawlessly with whomever you may be paired with," Pein explained, almost excitedly.
"That's great and all
but truth or dare, un?"
Pein stared blankly at the offensive blonde before raising his hand, in which he had a glass bottle, "We could play spin the bottle instead."
"No, no. Truth and dare is just fine, un."
"Just forget he said anything! We want to play truth or dare!"
The rest of the members joined in with protests against spin the bottle. Pein smiled evilly and sat on a couch behind the members. They all stared at each other awkwardly, really not wanting to play such a childish and embarrassing game.
Pein declared that Kakuzu was to start. They all went around a few times, everyone picking truth and asking simple questions like "what is your favorite color" or "when is your birthday".
Quickly Pein decided that this was not enough and demanded that they started asking more personal questions. The moods of all the members darkened as they realized that there was no way out of sharing some of their deepest secrets.
It had just been Itachi's turn, and he'd asked Sasori what his favorite color was. Simply, Sasori replied "blue". It seemed like an uncharacteristic color to everyone, and enlightened them slightly as to why they played this game. There was, in fact, many things they didn't know about the others that could be helpful. However, this answer simply pissed Kisame off. Blue was his favorite color!
Truth or dare?" Sasori nearly choked over the words.
Hidan stared at him a moment, "Fuckin' dare, of course!"
Silence filled the room briefly. Nobody had picked dare yet, and Sasori was entirely unsure of what to make the young Jashinist do.
A small smirk covered his lips as he realized what opportunity he had in front of him. Everyone had suspected that Kakuzu and Hidan had been together for some time now, but Hidan was less than willing to give any hints away to his feelings towards his partner.
"I dare you to kiss Kakuzu," Sasori kept his voice monotonous, but inside was truly excited.
"WHAT? Are you fucking kidding me? I'm not going to fucking kiss that asshole!" Hidan screamed.
Pein cleared his throat and cut in, "Hidan, you can't say no to a dare and you can't lie for a truth. Just do it."
Hidan's eyes were the size of dinner plates as he realized that he had no way out of this. Kakuzu's face revealed nothing, but that was a given since most of his face was covered under his mask.
Slowly, dreadfully, Hidan leaned over and pulled down Kakuzu's mask. He planted a soft kiss on his partner's lips and sat back in pure shock at himself.
"Fucking happy, puppet?"
Sasori nodded in his direction, more to just shut Hidan up rather than to admit his true happiness at the situation.
Hidan grumbled a little more before taking his turn, "Kisame, truth or dare?"
A malicious smiled curled the corner's of Hidan's lips up, "Was that you and the Uchiha fucking we heard last night? I just want to clarify."
Kisame glared daggers at Hidan, but Itachi's face remained emotionless as he waited to hear his partner's answer.
A heavy sigh escaped Kisame's lips, "Yes. Deidaratruth or dare?"
Deidara glanced at his partner, then back at the questioner, "Dare."
"No, pick truth."
"What? No, un! I picked dare!"
Kisame growled, "I have a good truth question, though! I don't have a dare!"
Deidara rolled his eyes, "Fine. Truth. Happy?"
Kisame smiled. He wanted his revenge. He was going to get his revenge. Damn Sasori for having the same favorite color! And Hidan
oh, he'd get Hidan later. But for now, he was going to get that damn puppet to blush.
private parts work fine? Or are they wooden, also?" Kisame kept his tone innocent.
Deidara shut his eyes briefly. Really? He took in a deep breath before answering, "They work just fine."
Kisame nearly fell over when he realized that neither of the artists reacted to his should-be-embarrassing question. What the hell?
"Itachi, Truth or dare?"
"THAT'S NOT A CHOICE, FUCKER!" Hidan cut in smoothly.
Ignoring the outburst of the young male, Itachi looked at Deidara in a bored manner, "Truth,"
Deidara rolled his eyes. Man, these Akatsuki members were boring! "What is it you like about Kisame, un?"
Itachi directed his gaze to his partner for a brief moment, then shrugged. Everyone burst out laughing. Kisame stared, almost in disbelief at Itachi who, for the first time ever, cracked a very, very small smile.
"Damn, that's sucks fish-boy," Hidan spoke between laughs.
Kisame glared, then stood up and stormed out of the room. Things had been getting testy between the rest of the members, anyways. It didn't surprise anyone.
"Well, since he's gone
my turn." Itachi turned his eyes to Kakuzu, "Truth or dare?"
Itachi opened his mouth to ask a question, but Tobi cut in- "TOBI WANTS TO DO A DARE!"
Everyone glared at the boy.
"I dare you to go sit outside and don't come back in until I get you, un." Deidara spoke, smothering his annoying in false sweetness.
"HAI, SENPAI!" Tobi ran outside.
Everyone muttered thanks to Deidara and continued on with the game.
"Do you and Hidan
you know?" Itachi spoke again.
"Yes," Kakuzu answered simply.
"YOU ASSHOLE! WHY WOULD YOU TELL THEM THAT? YOU KNOW WHAT?! NO SEX. FOR A MONTH. SUCK ON THAT, FUCKER!" Hidan stood up and stormed out of the room.
Kakuzu sighed and followed behind him, knowing he would have to fix things with the male eventually.
Itachi, Deidara, Sasori and Zetsu stared at each other awkwardly before getting up and all going in their own directions.
Once safely in the confines of their room, Deidara turned to face his puppet partner, "Well, that was interesting, yeah."
Sasori chuckled lowly, "I doubt it helped out with teamwork in any manner."
"Well, I certainly don't want to be with Kisame or Hidan for any mission coming up in the near future," Deidara chuckled.
Sasori shook his head with a smile and sat on his bed. Deidara plopped himself down next to his puppet. He leaned in closer and placed a sweet kiss on the lips of his partner.
"Can you believe Kisame?" Sasori asked.
Deidara smiled, "It wasn't so bad. It's not like they didn't know,"
"Still, how jejune," Sasori replied, stretching.
Deidara laughed a little to himself and scooted so that he was on top of his Danna's lap. Sasori knew what this meant. Deidara only did this when he wanted one thing.
"You know, it wasn't that bad of a game though, un."
Sasori looked up at his partner, "What do you mean?"
"Sasori-danna, Truth or dare?" Deidara smiled coyly.
"Do you want me?" Deidara's innocent smile gave no hints of his thoughts.
"Then I dare you to take me,"
Sasori was more than happy to oblige.
